This recipe is from Bon Appétit’s Basically Guide to Better Baking which I have been obsessed with since it started. Each recipe they release (1 new recipe every Sunday) has taught me new and interesting how’s and why’s about baking. Of course I’ve baked a lot, I do have a food blog after all, but it’s been nice to try different recipes I wouldn’t normally choose myself and learn new tricks.
This recipe is very approachable and straightforward. They not only tell you how to do it but they also show you and tell you why. I think those two things made all the difference for me because the biscuits came out gosh darn near perfect. AND BEAUTIFUL. I was honestly more excited to take pictures of them than I was to eat them.
Make these with some sausage gravy for breakfast or dinner. Wow. What a meal that would be.
